Connectors

A connector links Kuumba to an app you already use — Gmail, your calendar, your drive, your helpdesk — so you can ask about what is in it instead of copying things across by hand.

Connecting one

1. Open Applications at the bottom of the sidebar.

2. Find the app on the Connectors tab. They are grouped by what they are for: email and communication, calendar and meetings, files and knowledge, and so on.

3. Sign in to it. A window from that app opens and asks you to approve the connection. This is the app’s own sign-in — Kuumba never sees your password for it.

4. A tick appears on the card once it is connected.

Some apps need your administrator to enable them for the whole organisation before you can sign in. If a card says so, that is why.

Using a connector

Press @ in the message box and pick the app. A chip appears above the box naming it, and the message goes with that app in mind.

What the chip does and does not do

The chip names the app you mean. It does not restrict the answer to that app — if another connected app is a better fit for what you asked, Kuumba may still use it. Say so explicitly in the message when it matters.

What Kuumba will and will not do

• Reading is normal. Searching mail, listing events, finding a document.
• Changing things is not silent. Sending, deleting or editing in a connected app is an action Kuumba asks you to approve first.
• Your permissions still apply. A connector can never reach anything your own account could not.

Disconnecting

Open Applications, find the app, and disconnect it. Access is revoked immediately. Disconnecting does not delete anything in the app itself.
