Sharing a chat

The share control at the top right of a conversation creates a link to a read-only copy of it.

• The link shows the conversation as it was when you shared it. Messages you send afterwards are not added unless you update the link.
• Anyone with the link can read it. There is no password.
• You can revoke a link at any time from the shared-links list in your settings, which immediately stops it working.

Check before you send

A shared conversation carries everything in it, including anything you pasted in or a file’s contents quoted in a reply. Read back through it before sharing outside your organisation.

Your administrator can switch sharing off entirely. If you cannot see the control, that is why.
