Artifacts

Some answers are not really text. A table you want to scan, a chart, a diagram, a small working web page — those open in a panel beside the conversation instead of being buried in a message.

Working with one

• Keep talking to change it. “Make the second column a percentage.” “Use our brand colours.” The panel updates; the conversation stays readable.
• Copy or download it from the panel.
• Earlier versions stay available, so a change that makes things worse is not a dead end.

Getting one on purpose

Ask for the shape you want: “as a table”, “as a flow chart”, “as a one-page summary I can print”. Being explicit is the difference between an artifact and three paragraphs describing one.

Artifacts have to be enabled — on a bot, by whoever built it, or by your administrator for the whole organisation.
