Working with a reply
Hover a message and its controls appear underneath.
On any reply
Section titled “On any reply”- Copy — the whole reply as text.
- Regenerate — ask again. Useful after you have changed the model, or when an answer is simply poor.
- Read aloud — if your administrator has enabled speech.
On your own messages
Section titled “On your own messages”- Edit — change what you asked and send it again. Everything after that point is replaced, so this is the clean way to fix a badly worded question rather than apologising to the AI in a new message.
Forking a chat
Section titled “Forking a chat”Fork copies a conversation from a chosen message into a new chat, leaving the original untouched. Use it when a thread is about to split in two — you want to try a different direction without losing the one you already have.
You choose how much to carry over: only the messages leading to that point, the visible path, or every branch.
Artifacts
Section titled “Artifacts”When a reply produces something you would rather look at than scroll past — a table, a diagram, a small web page — it opens in a panel beside the chat instead of inside the message. Keep talking to revise it. See artifacts.
Reasoning
Section titled “Reasoning”Some models show their working before they answer. Where they do, it appears above the reply, collapsed. Open it when an answer surprises you: it is usually faster to see where the reasoning went wrong than to ask why.
